Abstract

Many patients seek treatment at the Drg Clinic. Nurmuhayanah, Sp. Ort.
for the treatment of toothache. Meanwhile, there are only 2 special doctors
(specialists) who handle this problem. This makes it difficult for doctors to work
optimally because it can cause human error due to fatigue at work, so an expert
system is needed that is able to assist doctors in carrying out initial diagnoses of
dental disease and providing solutions to these problems. An expert system is a
computer program that imitates the thought processes and knowledge of experts
in solving a particular problem. The forward chaining method is one of the
methods in expert systems for designing dental disease expert systems with the
forward chaining method suitable for using PHP and MySQL so that the system
can be used online so that dentists and patients can consult well even though they
are far away. The results of this research are that the dental disease expert system
is effective and efficient in helping to speed up finding solutions to these diseases
so that they can be treated more quickly.
