SAW FOR CLASSIFICATION OF CYPRINUS CARPIO FISH SPECIES IN
TAMBAK MEKAR JAYA CULTIVATION

Goldfish is a type of freshwater fish that is cultivated and enjoyed as a
consumption fish. Carp in Latin cyprinus carpio which is a very attractive type of
fish because the selling price is quite high and relatively stable compared to other
freshwater fish. Mekar Jaya pond is one of the ponds that cultivate carp or
cyprinus carpio fish. So far, pond owners have done the selection of goldfish
seeds in a traditional way, such as looking at low prices without looking at other
criteria that can be used as a reference for selection. This is because the owner
wants to buy as many goldfish seeds as possible in order to produce a large
harvest. In fact, if you buy goldfish seeds as much as possible, if the growth from
old seeds is not large or the harvest is small, you will experience losses. So in the
next process, the selection of carp or cyprinus carpio seeds will be carried out in
order to produce the best, one of which is by using a decision support system. The
purpose of this study was to apply the SAW method in making decisions on the
selection of carp seeds or cyprinus carpio fish in Tambak Mekar Jaya. In the
Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method, you can also select the best alternative
from a number of available alternatives, then a ranking process is carried out in
which the total weight values of all criteria are added up after determining the
weight value of each criterion.
