ESTIMASI PENJUALAN MOTOR PADA PT. ADIRA FINANCE TEBING TINGGI DENGAN WEIGHT MOVING AVERAGE

PT Adira Finance is a non-bank financing company in the consumer financing sector with its address in Tebing Tinggi. Adira Finance's financing objects are two- and four-wheeled motorized vehicles. PT. Adira Finance Tebing Tinggi cannot predict sales of motorbikes that are in demand by consumers in the coming year so it cannot target the sales it wants to achieve because it has not used a forecasting method. Forecasting requires taking historical data to be processed in order to produce a decision on how many motorbike stock predictions are needed for the next period. The aim of this research was to predict motorbike sales at PT. Adira Finance Tebing Tinggi in 2023 by carrying out forecasting using the Weighted Moving Average (WMA) approach through the development of an information technology-based system. The data used in forecasting is sales data for Honda and Yamaha motorbikes for the last six months in 2022. The forecasting in this research is processed based on data from the previous three periods to produce the motorbike stock requirements needed for sales. The method used in this research is a quantitative method, namely a research method that uses a lot of numbers, starting from the data collection process to its interpretation. This research produces a forecasting information system using the Weighted Moving Average (WMA) approach which can be processed using an information technology-based system, making it easier and faster to make decisions to forecast motorbike sales and target motorbike sales to be achieved in January 2023. Results from The sales forecast for January 2023 is for Honda motorbikes at 126 units and Yamaha at 20 units.
